Set up a separate browser window for iPECS ONE
See the below for the steps to get it set up.
Follow these steps to set up a separate window on your desktop for iPECS ONE. This will show up on your taskbar with the iPECS logo, so you don’t have to figure out which tab in your browser your iPECS ONE client is open on. This will also allow pop ups on your desktop when your phone rings or you receive a chat which you can click on to open and answer the call or read the chat.
To set iPECS One as an app on your desktop, you essentially need to access the iPECS One web interface through your browser and then create a desktop shortcut, as iPECS One primarily functions as a web-based application, not requiring a dedicated downloadable app; most modern browsers allow you to "pin" a website as an app on your desktop.
Follow these steps to set it up:
- Access the iPECS One web interface.
- Open your preferred web browser and navigate to the iPECS One login URL provided by your service provider.
- Login with your credentials
- Create a desktop shortcut
- Chrome- In the address bar, right-click on the URL and select "More tools" > "Create desktop shortcut".
- Other browsers- Check your browser's specific options for creating a desktop shortcut from the current webpage.
Important points to remember:
- · No dedicated download needed. Unlike some other applications, iPECS One does not require a separate download and installation as it operates primarily through the web.
- Browser compatibility- While you can access iPECS One on most browsers, it's recommended to use a modern browser like Google Chrome for optimal performance.
- Check with your service provider. If you have any specific questions regarding accessing and setting up iPECS One on your desktop, contact your service provider for guidance.
